DeSmuME (NDS WiFi) – Nintendo DS Emulator
DeSmuME 0.9.7 Release This version brings with it the usual assortment of core, graphics, Wi-Fi support and frontend fixes. Compatibility improvements are numerous, but there’s still a long way to go.
Please note that a super OSX buildmaster would be a welcome addition to our team, as it is not really our area of expertise and continually gets short-changed due to lack of attention.
STEP 1 : Download DeSmuME Wi-Fi Pack from here which includes WinPcap and the other things you will need.
STEP 2: Install WinPcap. After installation give WinPcap exceptions in firewall. – When installing WinPcap, check the option for starting the driver as windows starts up.
STEP 3: Open DeSmuME (IMPORTANT NOTE: ALL WINDOWS 7/WINDOWS VISTA USERS MUST OPEN DeSmuME AS AN ADMINISTRATOR OR AN ERROR WOULD OCCUR WHEN CONNECTING TO Wi-Fi” Config—>Emulation settings. – Now set the correct paths for the ARM 7 BIOS, ARM 9 bios and Firmware bin. – Make sure the “Use external Bios image” “Use external firmware image” , “Boot from firmware like the NDS” AND “Enabled Advanced bus level timing” are all checked.
STEP4: In DeSmuME still, go to Conifg—>Wi-Fi and click on “Infrastructure mode”
STEP 5: Now open your game and go into Nintendo Wi-Fi settings and search for an access point and u should see “SOFT AP” as one, connect and test the connection to check if it worked.
STEP 6: If the DeSmuME NDS Firmware settings aren’t saved and/or stored, reset the game and/or emulator to store the Firmware settings and then load a Wi-Fi compatible game go into Nintendo Wi-Fi settings and search for an access point and u should see “SOFT AP” as one, connect and test the connection and it should work. This may need to be done each time you open and/or close the emulator.
